What job did you do to earn your very first 1$ ?

My very first paying job was loading hay onto a wagon in rural Kentucky. I made 2$ for 4 hours of work (50 cents an hour). 1965, I was 8 at the time.

When and what did you do and what were you paid.

My very first money earned was when i was 6 in 1979. I collected all the alluminum cans i could find for this old man who paid me a dollar a bag. he said he did it cause he liked to see young people who are willing to work for their money instead of having it handed to them for nothing. I sure had a ball doing it cause i knew that all that work would get me something.

If i had to name the 1st job i had that paid me my 1st $ that i liked, it would probably have to be when i watered my aunt's grass. I got paid $1 a day and it was from 6:30 to 8:00 in the summers. I think i was about 8 or 9. But if you are talking about a job that pays where taxes are concerned, then i got a job at 17 doing telemarketing. Although i hated calling people and bugging them over some mess that sounded just as crazy to me as it was to them, i did it to earn the $. Period. It didn't last long. I was fired after four days. Normally, if you don't produce in an environment, they're more than likely to cut you out.

You were lucky we bailed hay and didn't get paid nothing but my first job was when i was about 12 and that was in 1970 i dusted my grandparents house i made 3.00 in a couple of hours

I believe it was getting my teeth pulled out when I was 5!!! LOL The tooth fairy was very nice to me!!!

i made $7.00 an hour as an intern at my dad's office.
