Mickey Mantle wore #7. He played for the Yankees from 1951-1968. He is a career .298 hitter, 536 home runs. He hit 18 home runs in the playoffs which is a record. He was the last Yankee to win the Triple Crown. His #7 was retired in August of 1969. He was the fourth Yankee to have his number retired.
