Im really good friends with my first love and HIS new girlfriend. He has in the NOT so far ago past told me that he has always had feelings for me, and always will. That I was his first love and he will always harbor some sort of connection with me. Which honestly.... Even tho I am happily married. I will always have feelings for my first love. But Im smart enough to know that we are completely different people NOW than we were 10 years ago and the whole relationship thing would NEVER EVER work even if we were both single. We are just too different now and its all for the better.

No I am not friends with him, we broke up over a month ago, and now he is engaged to the girl that he cheated on me with. Plus he physically abused me. It was an almost 8 year relationship. I tried to be friends with him but it kinda backfired. We can't be friends for now, maybe in a couple of years when all the the anger has faded.

Well the first person I said, "I love you" to (which isn't my first love... because I wasn't IN LOVE with him...) I am still friends with.
He told me before that he will always love me. He moved away but by that time we weren't together anymore. His last words to me were, "I love you babe!" I told him I love him too. We DO love each other... just not like boyfriend / girlfriend. He's my friend.

well I'm still with my 1st love and I hope I always will, but I know if we broke up that we would still be best friends b/c we have a relationship now where we basically are best friends but with a romantic twist. lol.
