I don't watch the show, and I am very very much OK with "plus size" models, but not to the extent that it is just another form of affirmative action. I don't think these models need to be given a special chance and thrown in to the contest just because they are plus size. Including them specifically for that reason seems to me to just be them saying "hey look, we've got fat girls here too...so we don't discriminate." It just doesn't seem right to me.

It's about time. To be "plus sized" for a model is a size 10 and up (or used to be), which is not all that large.

Models should be more representative of the actual population. ☺

I think it's pretty sad that they consider those two women to be "plus size". They look perfectly normal to me. We had a hard time figuring out which ones were supposed to be the bigger ones. When I heard they were going to have plus sized models this year I sarcastically said "oh what are they going to be a whole 120 lbs???" Looks like I wasn't too far off.

I don't watch the show.. but I watched like ten minutes of it the other day..I think that there should be plus sized models on a show like that.. it will help to boost other women who are plus sized's confidence in themselves.. not be depressed all of the time by their weight

I think that's great for the show and for the 2 girls!
Like, whenever you think of a model you usually think of really skinny girls, not really plus sized.
If the 2 plus sized girls are good at modeling, i think they have a chance at winning the show.

All women are beautiful and I think all sizes from thin to large should be celebrated.
