We buried my bird Pete and I wanted to buy a marker that has his name and the years he was alive. Do you know where I can find one for not a lot of money???

He was buried in my "mini garden". I'm going to plant some Canterbury Bells next to him.

Make a concrete stone and then write on it while it is wet to put name, year, etc.

How about buying one of those garden "critters" - the things made from plaster or cement etc... - that is in the shape of a bird or even a cross - and then use acrylic paint to make the name. Be sure to "varnish" the name after you paint it with something water proof.

Also, some craft stores have very small "wind chimes" hung on very short metal stakes that have a hook to hold the chime, that are often meant to put into a flower pot. Then whenever the wind catches it and it "rings" you'll think of Pete.

Go to your craft store. You can buy a kit to make stepping stones. On it you can stamp Pete's name and dates on it. You can imprint a bird or put a cement bird in the stone and once the concrete dries it will permanently be part of your stone. The kit comes with everything you will need including the concrete. Easy to do in one day.

How about buying some of outdoor craft paint and using a flat river rock to paint the information? That's what we did for our Chiquita when she passed away. :0(
