...while all intelligent, rational Americans *know* that the ex-mayor of New York, Rudy Giuliani, will lead the much stronger conservative party during the presidential election in 2008....Why is it that the democrats never seem to have their excrement together come bigtime ? We all know who will lead the republicans in `08, that`s old news........Meanwhile, the libs toil. What do you have to say about the liberal`s inability to come together and put forth an obvious, strong candidate ?......If you think Rudy won`t be the republican`s front runner then you are one ignorant person.

Nobody feels sorry for Democrats. Despite all of the disasters of Bush, Americans still hate Democrats worse than him.

Anyway, the DNC will remain divided. Hollywood liberals love the idea of Barack Obama, while old-school liberals remain rallied behind Hillary. The Obama campaign will run on image and secrecy, refusing to let Obama answer the tough questions but keeping him in a good light throughout. While this is an OK strategy, Americans hate Hollywood liberals, and will rally against him if morons like Barbra Streisand and Danny Glover step up to support him.

Hillary, being the most polarizing political figure in history, has nothing to rely on but money. And until the Democratic National Convention, that money will be heavily spent on sliming and slandering Barack Obama. Once the character assassination of Obama is complete, they will target the next victim. But would you expect anything less from a wanna-be tyrant?

The best thing that could ever happen for the DNC is for a third, more rational, and more likeable candidate to rise through the scum. People are tired of polarizing figures like Bush and the Clintons, and want somebody that represents the middle of America. That's why Guiliani is a good prospect; Bill Richardson would be, too, but he lacks the money to become a viable DNC candidate.

So be it. Look for the 2008 election to be the most libelous and wretched election of all time. George Washington would really be proud.

Why should anyone feel sorry for a political party that has a number of credible candidates running? I don't know how much history you remember, but in 2000 it was not immediately clear that the Republicans would nominate Bush. He had to fight to win that nomination. And in 1980, Ronald Reagan was considered a long shot at the beginning of the primary season, especially because of his age. And there were a LOT of Republican candidates that year. So to sum up, the fact that a party isn't sure who its nominee is going to be a year before the first caucus or primary is no sign of weakness . . . or anything else.

As to whether Giuliani will be the nominee . . . You claim utter confidence. But read your comments again. Reading between the lines, I hear someone who really likes his candidate but is very insecure about his chances. Why otherwise would you need call anyone who disagrees with you "one ignorant person"? What does name calling get you?

Guiliani may well get the nomination, but he will have to go through the vetting process like everyone else. It will be very interesting to see how his personal story and his policy stances (in the past as well as the present) play outside of New York. In case you hadn't noticed, many Republicans active in the nominating process tend to be quite conservative. His past support for gay rights and a woman's right to choose is definitely not in line with today's mainstream Republican. And what are people who don't already know going to think when they find out that at one point he was living with his mistress in Gracie Mansion while his official wife was living in another part of the house? In many parts of the country, especially the south and the non-coastal western states, a New York Republican is nothing more than a Democrat in sheep's clothing.

sure, I agree. even however, i think of that's extra-so the Hillary Clinton supporters who're particularly bitter at this component in time. with a bit of luck they'll come around and comprehend if we are keen to place conflict above our own aims, we would have Bush III as president.

Nope!

I feel sorry for an idiot who thinks that saying he is a republican makes him a republican. By the way John McCain is a great Senator and true American hero.

I'm a Democrat. Having choices is not confusing to me.

Oh, go right ahead, Repubs, and nominate Guiliani! Please, please, please, bring him on! You will absolutely insure a Democratic winner for Prez in '08!

I can't wait for Hillary or any other Dem to chew him up and spit him out! I can't wait for your party's religious terrorists (i.e., Christians) to get all squirmy at Rudy's LIBERAL views on abortion and gay rights, for all the dirt on his criminal connections to come out, on how crappy a mayor he was after September 12th. Have you seen Rudy all done up in women's clothing, smooching Donald Trump?

BWAHA HA HA HA HA HA!
