Kant was a man of dedicated routine. He took daily walks that always lasted an hour. He always had the same thing for breakfast. He never married, but not because he didn't care for women - he once said that when he needed a wife, he was too poor to feed her, and once he could afford to feed one he found she was no longer needed.

Kant's ethical proposition is that an act must be done from duty in order to have inner moral worth. He believes in treating all human beings as ends in themselves and never as merely means to ends. In brief, we should respect all human beings impartially and avoid exploiting anyone.
