I'm a radio presenter and I recorded some audio onto a CD the other day.
Now I need to send some of the audio as an e-mail attatchment to a mate. How do i do it? Or how do I get the audio from the Cd onto my computer?

The best way is to convert the audio in the CD to MP3 files. These are compressed audio files that are about 10th the size of the audio file on a CD yet have about the same sound quality.

You need CD drive on your computer and a conversion program for this.

Fortunately, there is a very good FREE conversion program. It's called Audio Grabber. No spyware or other garbage with it. Follow the link below to download. I've been using it for years.

If you're using a Window PC, you can use Windows Media Player to "rip" the audio from the CD onto your hard drive as either MP3 or WMA (Window Media Audio). I believe that other formats are available in Windows Media Player. Choose MP3 if you plan on compiling your files onto a CD for playing in the car or portable stereo with MP3 capability. If you're going to keep them in your PC, choose WMA since they are smaller files thus taking up less hard drive space and allowing you to save more files. Smaller files are easier to email also. If you're going to share with a mate, remember NOT to "protect" the WMA tracks when ripping with Windows Media Player. DRM or Digital Rights Management will prevent your mate from playing them! Hope this helps...

You will need to 'burn' the songs onto your computer as MP3 songs. If you have Windows XP, you should have Windows Media Player, and it should have the option to 'burn' the songs.
