Use a liquid medication in the water called malachite green or malachite blue. Nobody can diagnose from your description. Use it according to the directions buy it at any fish shop or pet shop. It's not expensive maybe 4 dollars.

Then you need to really clean up the tanks and add an airstone or better yet a water filter if you don't already have them to each tank.

Good Luck

Could be some sort of fish disease... not sure w/ a goldfish. Usually when the fins are down, your fish isn't feeling very well! Is the temperature good? Is the water clean? You can buy some "medication" for the tank to try to clear this up... Good luck!

Your goldfish has something called, "Velvet" or Oodinium. Velvet is just like ich. It is a parasite that attaches itself to the fish. Just like ich, velvet lives in the water and substrate as well as on the fish, so if your fish were ever together, you will have to treat both tanks and both fish for this. Salt is not very effective against velvet, but try QuickCure for 3 days or any medication containing Formalin. Any copper product also works, but copper is very harsh on fish and should be avoided if you can find other options. Good luck!

Hmm...I say keep an eye on him. Who knows what's wrong with him. Goldfish certainly do not have the greatest life expectancy.

Maybe change the water in his fish tank. Make sure it is room temperature if you do, you certainly don't want to shock the poor thing.

Hope that helps!

Are you sure it was a goldfish you bought? They might have put the wrong fish in the wrong display tank.

it really is everyday for gold fish. that is like they're picking up nutrition debris on bottom of tank, flushing with the help of their mouths and spitting stones decrease back out. completely everyday.
