I see questions on rap music posted here all the time and for some reason people always jump in and say it's not music or it's rap crap. I'm just curious as to why you care so much? I love all music, country being my favorite, but I listen to everything depending on my mood. Call me silly, but if I don't like something, say tomatoes for instance, I don't run around bashing them to other people I just don't order them on things. Why is it so hard for people to ignore things they don't like? Sometimes I think this is what is inherently wrong with our world. So why do you guys care so much about not liking rap music?

People are missing the point, I get the fact you do not like it, but I don't understand why you have to constantly comment on it.

If you eat a tomato, that doesn't affect me and I don't care. If you pull up beside me with your rap music shaking my car and spouting filthy language in my direction, then I start caring. It only becomes an issue when someone other than #1 is affected.
I guess if you were really a good person you'd offer to share your tomatoes with me.

People must care so much because rap has more infuence on people than any other music. It's what rap is saying to our young people that has everyone all upset. Rap tells our children to commit crime, treat females like crap, and to kill people. Rap is a bad infulence on our kids. So does other music, right? Not as much as rap does. Hopefully, most people will grow out of rap and not take to the lifestyle that it glorifies.

I'm personally not bothered, but a lot of UK radio stations force the c-rap down our throats 24-7 until you end up listening to smooth FM or summet, and its all the cheap mass produced one hit rubbish
The other things are double standards like tiny meaningless words being blanked out of some songs and yet others bleat on about what they like
And... Dumb people are eeeeaaaasssily influenced, the rest of us can switch off at any time

You have a very good point. I listen to all genres myself and why would people even bother commenting if they don't listen to that type of music?
They obviously do not have anything intelligent to say or they would be answering questions that they actually had knowledge on

The beat gives me a headache, because NO ONE seems to listen to it at a sane level, AND 9 times out of 10 the lyrics are garbage -- I refuse to let my son listen to it, because it's just not right for an 11 year old to walk around saying, "I slept with yo mama at the age of 3 "

well you dont hear about tomatoes everyday do you? I hear this crap on the radio and I have to change the station, then it is on the TV commercials and I have to suffer thru them till the shows is back on. it sounds so terrible to me (albeit there might be a few good songs, but not enough!). i hate how they steal the beats from hit songs that were out decades ago then claim them as there own and make a hit song out of the stolen tunes, it should be a crime to do. does anyone else remember Vanilla Ice?

i don't care. i do have trouble with country music every once once in awhile.....but i dont' bash it, unless someone bashes my music then i bash theirs. but hey. i don't care. most ppl wouldn't like my music to begin w/ . the way i see it, the ppl that bash music, don't really know much about music to begin with. criticize it with facts to back it up, with some opinions, cool, its all civil, say its rap crap, then you lost my respect, even if i don't like rap.

i agree with you...i don't bash other people's music either. And i hate it when someone just makes a huge speech why their genre is better. Seriously they should keep it to themselves because nobody cares!
