There is actually a method to the selection of Premiership games. For Saturday games, Setanta Sports has the first pick, and FSC has picks two and three. On Sunday, FSC has first pick, thus explaining why the blockbuster Sunday games are always on while the big Saturday games are not.
I'm not sure about the rest of the games, but I'm pretty sure that's how the best few are chosen.

Fox has always had a working relationship with Sky Sports in Austrailia and the UK. Many games you see on Fox Soccer appear simulateneously on Sky. There are also soe pay-per-view considerations as well. If cable systems in the US have worked a deal thinking they can get a bunch of people to pay $15 or $20 for Liverpool-Manchester United- the two most popular English sides in the US I might add- they'll put that on pay per view rather than leave it on the channel. Same principle works with FA Cup final.

I wonder where Coys got his info though that's a good explanation. I wish they'd show the big match on FSC and not Setanta because Setanta is expensive. However, I suppose it's just what Coys said. I'm sure they do try and get all the teams in at least once a season though.
