No offense, but sing you are asking our opinion whatever it may be, I do not like them at all, sorry.... to modern and weird-sounding... they're like "made-up" names, not "real" names...

Zayden is a variation of one of the most popular names that i Know: Kayden, Kaysen, Kade, Cadence and the list goes on. So chance are there will be another couple of kids named Zayden in your sons class. It's a nice name though, that's why so many people are picking it this year. I like Dalia. Never heard of it before.

I think both names are very nice. I have the same problem as you, but I am 38 weeks pregnant. Nobody likes my choices for my daughter's name, especially my mother and my grandmother. And everyone keeps telling me, dont let them influence you, its your baby. But if you are as close to your mom as I am, it does matter, because I really respect her opinion. So I guess I dont really know what to say. Good luck, at least you still have a while to figure it out. I only have a few weeks, if that.

No matter what you name the child Grandma will see no wrong in the little one..... it sounds like mom is still used to telling you what to do and you do it. Im a mom and it was hard for me to back off. Its a mom thing.
this is your child and the names you picked out are fine. Try asking your mother what she likes and maybe consider giving them it as a middle name.
the last thing you want to do is alienate your mother. your going to need her and you want to feel like it is her baby too. let her be part of your babies life. you wont regret it. Grandma can offer so much. But remember this is your child. sometimes moms need to know when to step back.....just be gentle about it.
Oh by the way congrats and good luck.

The great thing is that this is your baby and your choice to make!
I personally like less common names and I like both names you picked.
I have three kids and my parents and in-laws have hated all the names until they got to meet the baby.
Cade - Aiden - Leyton
Congrats and remember you get to name this baby. Other people get to name their children and don't have a say in your baby's name.

I think the names are beautiful. But remember this is your baby and it is up to you which names you like. It is not up to your mom or anyone but you and you significant other on what to name the baby. GOOD LUCk
