All the so-called local channels are in SC WBTW WWMB and WPDE all those are channels in SC they are not in NC! So why is Directv lying when they claim to offer local channels?

Call and complain and get them for free or have them removed so you don't have to pay for SC stuff (not that WRAL is any good. I live in NC and it's one of the worst stations I've seen).

dtv has 3 collections of local channnels!

1 is what they can send up to the sat
2&3 are your local over the air stations.

they really only give you #1

for 2 & 3 are just the listing and you need an antenna for the reception.

I get all my digital hd stations (my entire market does digital !!! San Francisco is ahead of the curve)

does anyone get the local analog over the air stations?? I don't know!

I do know that if you don't get the main networks in your area, you are entitled to get the national feeds after a little paperwork.

DIRECTV is not lying to you. They are abiding by FCC rules. Your local channels are determined by zip codes; local cable providers, however, determine your local channels based off of what county you fall under, not by zip code. If your local channels are in the Raleigh-Durham television market from your local cable company or over-the-air (OTA), it may differ from DIRECTV based off your zip code. You may want to check it out.
