Sooner or later Airbus is going to lose all the government subsidies it has been getting. At this point it will probably go TU and Boeing will once again be the sole source of airliners. The wild card is China, who has been making noise about being in the airplane business.

Just this past week UPS canceled an order for about a dozen Airbus A-380s. This is the tip of the iceberg. Most airlines are going to be reluctant to bet on the future of Airbus. When Airbus buys the farm parts will be difficult to get.

Yes. They only have one major continder for their competition (Boeing) and the EU won't be buying many American Boeing aircraft.

The job cuts will raise the stock price . It will survive (imho).
