When I was young there was a little thing to say that made you remember what months had 31 days. I cant remember it for the life of me. My daughter is trying to learn about that right now and I think it would be helpful for her. Does anyone know it????

April, June, and November,
All the rest have 31,
Excepting February which alone,
has 28, and 1 day more,
in which we add in "the year of four"...

30 days has September, April, June & November. All the rest have 31 except for February which has 28. One year in four has one day more.

If you count across the back of your hand and then back counting the knuckles and dips in between. The knuckles are for months with 31 days and dips indicate short months.
January - knuckle
February - dip
March - knuckle
April - dip
May - knuckle
June - dip
July - knuckle and back
August - knuckle
September - dip
October - knuckle
November - dip
December - knuckle
