I had a dream the other night that I went out to our near-by fairgrounds that used to be a horse racing track. Anyways, it was the 132 Preakness and I was cheering for a horse named Nobiz Like Shobiz so I was yelling "Go NoShow!" like that was his nickname and stuff. But I was stitting in the stands and there was this horse with me laying down and leaning his head against me and I'm petting him and talking to the horse saying "you have to be more careful or you could've been out there." And so I was cheering and the horse that was laying with me was Barbaro. Because I know it was him he had the cast on his right hind leg and I know what Barbaro looks like. You all know Barbaro, he was the 06 Derby winner and got hurt at the 131 Preakness and was put down. I was a HUGE fan. Now what do you think it meant? Because he was my horse laying with me while I was cheering and I'm talking to him tellin him to be more careful. What do you think this meant?

So what I'm saying is... like I know I was a HUGE fan of Barbaro is there any way that effects him being in my dream? Do you think it's okay to still be watching video's of him on Youtube and crying? Just please don't suggest going to the counsolor.

I just want to know, what it meant having Barbaro in my dream and if it's still okay to miss him even though he died a 1.5 months ago.

It seems quite fine to grieve the death of a magnificent race horse.

Just remember that Barbaro will not fade from your consciousness if you don't want him to.

Keep him there and contemplate his life and untimely death. There are deep moral and religious connotations to his passing.

However, try not not obsess about his passing. it was a particularly poignant life experience that you can keep with you but not obsess about.
