After some 20years I still suffer with PTSD and have received help from three psychiatrist - and one psychologist. The latter was unable to help as she thought it was to traumatic for me to revisit these memories and the last psychiatrist whom I still see, informs me she was not qualified enough and apologised. I visit my Pctrist once every two weeks and not yet finished treatment - he listens never judges me and put things into perspective for me. I am a lot of medication which changes, but hey who knows just one day I may be fine.

my ptsd came from my experiences i suffered in vietnam. i was the only one of a three man team who survived an explosion and i carried my buddys body with no head for five days thru the jungle. i was finally discovered and went thru extensive rehab (reconstruction of left leg) i was very bitter for a long time then i started listening to what god was telling me. i am and have been much better since then.

Research shows cognitive behavioral therapy works very well for PTSD. Look for a social worker or therapist.

i had it from a boyfriend who used to hit me. any time i would pass his house, smell his cologne...basically do anything that reminded me of him, i would be a total wreck.

i went to therapy to talk about it and i was medicated for a time.

i still have remnants of it though. i cant stand anyone touching my face to this day.
