No, it was invented for some of the many other events that cause mascara to run. Everyday events that include:
1) sweating, such as from exercise
2) walking outside in the rain or snow
3) eyes watering from allergens
4) rubbing/itching your eye
5) regular mascara rubs off easier than you realize, even if you barely do anything at all

Just plain old "living" is enough to smear regular mascara!

Lol! i would have to think it is water proof so we can look good in the pool or if we are in a high humidity area. I will tell you it is a pain to get off. but then again it does run if you cry....

No, it's because women feel the need to avoid getting Panda eyes after 'glowing' (sweating) in hot weather, getting wet, chopping onions, or going swimming! ;-)
