wow, either you are doing research for a great cause or you set your life goals really low.

I live in Key West and the bums here have it pretty good.

The homeless there are hastled daily by the local pigs.
They've hired four new cops whose only job it is to
round up the homeless folk and throw them in jail.
There are tough new vagrancy laws there.
If you sleep on the beach, in the groves, or in a park they will bust you now.

Hmm. I bet this varies quite a bit. I'd think some place with a warm climate like southern Cal, Florida would have both casual labor and places to stay.
