the directors vision is what makes the film into what you see on the big screen. think of them as the overall godfather of the movie who most often has the final say in all aspects of the films production.

the producers are the dudes who go out and make the directors vision a reality. they arrange for how sequences are shot, how many staff are needed and making sure that they are in the right place at the right time, they coordinate all dept's of the production crew and aim to bring the film to its full potential within the set budget.
