Yes you can. The Wii will read Gamecube discs and play them without any complaints. There are also some Gamecube controlle rports and two memory card slots on the top of the Wii to put your Gamecube extras in.
A few things to bera in mind...
1) The Wii won't read unofficial controllers.
2) The Wii won't play Pirate Gamecube games.
3) Action replay/Gameshark and Freeloader discs won't work either.

Yes, you'll also notice some graphical improvement over the original gamecube. This is because the graphics card in the Wii is a newer and much better model. Don't expect anything similar to the xbox 360 or ps3 graphics, however.

Yes! You can play game cube games on the Wii. If you want to play games make sure you have a Gamecube memory card. There's a slot for it.

The 2nd anwser on top he said that the action replay for gamecube does not work well hes wrong because I have a action replay for gamecube and it works for mine.
