First of all, did she take Emergency Contraception pills, or regular birth control pills?
If she has regularly been taking birth control pills (EVERYDAY) for at least one month as directed by a doctor, you should be fine.
If she takes Emer. Contraception pills as directed, this will lessen the chance of fertilization, but will not guarantee that the event will not take place
if she just took her first regular birth control pill after you had unprotected sex, you could be a daddy...
So, make sure ur gf gets on birth control at least a month before you begin having sex (thats how long it takes for the pills to take effect on her system, preventing pregnancy from occurring) PLEASE BE SAFE ABOUT SEX, and if u need more info go to

Nope, for contraceptive pills to work she needs to be on them BEFORE you start having unprotected sex. Oral contraceptives prevent ovulation. If she's already ovulated, it won't stop her from becoming pregnant from the sex. If you're trying to avoid a pregnancy, look into the Morning After Pill (Plan B). She needs to take it within 72 hours of the unprotected sex, and the longer she waits, the less effective it will be.

NO!!! Birth control pills have to be taken EVERY day! they do not work in half hour and they have to be taken almost at the same time each day. Once she is on it for a few days then it does not matter what time you have sex, she is protected from pregnancy. However please note that on and around ovulation you should wear a condom too, actually you should wear a condom all the time to protect you and her from STDs, such as HPV and stuff. Hope it helps!

there are only some regular birth control pills that prevent pregnancy if taken within 3 days after unprotected sex. find a list here: http://ec.princeton.edu/questions/dose.html#dose. otherwise you need to get the plan b pills from your pharmacy (if you're 18+) or from planned parenthood.

Birth control pills should be taken every 24 hours. It dosn't matter what time of day you have sex. Just make sure they are taken around the same time on a daily basis.

Birth Control pills are not effective at the time that you take them. It can take up to 30 days for them to begin to work once you start taking them.

Probably not fully dissolved yet.
One really needs to be on contraseptive pills for a few weeks before it gets into system to work.
At least, that's what I was told when I was on them YEARS ago.
