You cannot join the Freemasons on the internet. You need to be a member of a lodge and the initiation process MUST be done in person. If you think there is a way to join the Freemasons on the internet, I think you should do a lot more research!

I know from experience that Freemasonry is not very well tolerated in non-secular countries such as Iran, Syria, and Saudi Arabia. Wahabis are particularly intolerant of Freemasonry, because it accepts people of any religion. I have friends here in Boston who are in exile from Iran, simply because they are Freemasons and are not allowed in their own country. You will most likely find the same resistance in Saudi Arabia.

Furthermore, what could you possibly hope to get out of Freemasonry by simply saying you are a member if there are no lodges near you with which you can participate? Furthermore, how could you possible hope to help the organization and its charities by not participating in a lodge.

The only way that I can see you becoming a Freemason is spending time in a country were it is not outlawed.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me.

I am not sure what part you live or work but in S.A. Freemasonry isn't allowed I believe. I believe that in Turkey and Syria there are lodges that are secret due to governing factors on such groups. If any site offeres Freemasonry online, ignore it!> You must do the rituals in the lodge.

Also goto BOTA.org most of us are part of BOTA an dyou can start a chapter there. I would say Syria is the place most likely to fin da lodge.

Another option if you have HIGH interest is this, gotot a near b country with a lodge/s and gain the degrees and inform the master that you want to start a lodge in either countries you stated. YOu must stay secret IN S.A. however. Also if you look u p the rule of Freemasonry not being allowed in S.A. I would also recomend to see how OPus Dei got in. There is always a loophole. YOu could hold rituals elsewhere and business meetings and other functions in Saudi Arabia.

Also Iraq has started the first lodge there, Iraq Lodge no. 1

Hi, I am a member of the esoteric Order, American Co-Masonry. We admit women and men of all races and religions. That being said, I know of no Co-Masonic Lodges in S.A. I do know there are Co-Masonic Lodges (not American Co-Masonry but Eastern Rite) in India and Greece.

To become a Freemason, no matter what Rite, you need to be Initiated, Passed, and Raised in a Lodge. That is a group of Freemasons holding Charter from a Supreme Council or other Regular governing body.

To progress in Freemasonry, you need to meet in Lodge regularly. This is NOT about just walking around with a ring on your finger. This is a commitment. Regular attendence and participation in ritual is what quickens the evolution of the Freemason.

There are Masonic bodies which meet in secret in countries hostile to groups which have members of religions other than the state established one. Obviously, even if I knew of such, I would not publish their contact information.

Links below may help you should you be interested in joining Co-Masonry.

Best wishes,
A Master Mason

don't listen to the people that say you have to be invited to join. The Masonic Fraternity's slogan is, "To be one, ask one". As far as finding a lodge, I would find a lodge in a near by country and talk to them about starting a lodge near you. If you do this, you might have to find a certain number of other men would like to join but, I am not sure.

Yes its invitation only, you can go to your nearest bookstore and pick up several books on it that will detail all of this for you. If I were you I would try finding someone who is a freemason and befriending them in hopes of an invitation. For what reason exactly do you want to bea freemason?

I believe it is by invitation only. You will need to go to a country that has a lodge and get in that way if you are invited to join.
