You need to get a set top box HD receiver that will sent the HD signal to your TV. When it says HD ready, it means It can handle the HD picture, but needs an external HD box that will send the Picture to your TV or antenna that will catch the "over the air HD streams. You dont necessarily need to upgrade the box if it can handle HD picture, you just need the HD channels to be activated or added to your service.

My heavens, I not in any respect were flashed, yet I did by accident flash some people once. i become contained in the well being facility a even as decrease back and wanting to take a stoll to the merchandising section. properly, I wasn't questioning about what i become wearing and, enable's merely say that those well being facility robes do not leave plenty to the mind's eye on the bottom. The nurse got here up from behind me and placed a blanket over my shoulders . . . i become questioning why it turned right into a touch drafty decrease back there!

I agree with Matt Above. You will need a new box if your current one doesnt support HD.

Hi Long as your TV is HD compliant, there is no reason to update your *box*. If Virgin want money for this, change to sky.

depends. if you're tv has a built in hd tuner, then you can receive HD programming over the air like fox and abc and what not. but if you have cable or satellite, you would need an hd box to receive hd programming.
