I used to. I was a switchboard operator at a doctors office part-time. All I did was answer the phone all day long. No computer, nothing. When I asked the office manager if I could go to full-time or at least move to a different position that was full-time that I qualified for she said "well, the doctors would never see a justification in you working full time. And I don't think you should work full-time. You wouldn't have time to do any of your school work and your grades would fall." I'm glad she was worried about me and all but it really wasn't any of her business. I'm now at a much better full-time job and have no struggles or worries!

Yeah, but I am very close to a degree. I am not going to quit until I finish my degree and a certificate program, which is in about 18-19 months.
Dead end because, I do all the office "go-for" work. I am an Admininstrative & IT Assistant. I am a contractor for the government. Also, the contract expires in 18 months, which our section may not get renewed.
My supervisor told us that they may very well be opening-up the same position for GS's which we could apply for and have a better chance at getting hired. I told him not to expect my resume.

Yes, there are only lateral moves for me where I work, but I am nearing retirement age, so I just put up with it.

I used to, but now I don't. In retrospect I wonder how I ever did it every single day.
