I would suggest that you write him care of:

(I got the address from the CBS website, it is the contact address for celebrities on this show).
Respectfully ask for an autographed photo, and tell him it is for your wife. You can tactfully mention that she was a big fan of his show Simon & Simon and that you would like to give her a picture from that show with his autograph.
