Hi, Asda is the best retailer to work for, not only do you get 10% discount after 12 weeks but you get lots of benefits eg. Law Club, Optical and Health , discounted Theme Parks there are far too many to mention. And with Asda you can go onto Stepping Stones, which is making your way up to be a manager. You can have shift swaps, parental leave, bereavement leave. Get an application form and see for yourself.

Look at the rates of pay, the benefits and most importantly the discounts. Speak to other people that work there or just walk into the shop and look at whether people seem happy and the shop appears clean and tidy (this'll generally give you an idea not only of the staff but how hard they are worked)

I can't tell you who the best is, but definitely steer clear of Bhs. Worked for them for 12 months, worst year of my life. You had to earn pay increments by doing a workbook, which had to be signed off by a manager, yet strangely the managers never had time to look through it with you. So I spent 12 months on a paltry wage.
