Styrofoam is actually a very nice insulator. It will not prevent the ice cube from melting, but it will slow the process down. In other words, a styrofoam enclosure acts like a cooler.

Put the ice cube into a chamber which is completely tight and suck out the air from this chamber. You will realize that the ice cube will cool down in vacuum! (At absolute pressure 0,1mBar the temperature of the ice cube approx. -40°C)

You did not speficy the material. Ice melts above 0 Celcius, but other materials remain frozen at room temperature. Maybe thats a cheezy answer, try one of the other suggestions.

Well all you need is a lot of insulation. For instance. At a factory in Cleveland, Ohio. they collected broken glass in piles like piles of sand or piles of coal. Out in the weather, rain, snow hot, and cold . In the summer they would scoop up the broken glass to find large quantities of ice under the piles.
So you could wrap it in a lot of old paper. that would insulate it from the heat.
