Iraq is an independent country and should be allowed to stand up for themselves. As long as the U.S. is there they will not stand up and do what they should, as many of them have become dependent on the U.S. to resolve their problems. The U.S. took on the wrong role in entering this country by trying to get them to adhere to American beliefs and policies. As a country we are supposed to help other countries when they need us, not try to bring them under the American rule. As this has been much the case with Iraq, more about power and money than about assisting them as we should. We should be looking for peaceful ways to resolve world problems, not be so quick to go to war. If you look at our history most of the wars have not resolved any problems, just created more.

Probably the Shiites who are the majority and are now in power will kill off a lot more Sunnis who are the minority and used to be in power. Much of this will be as revenge for the way they were treated for so many years under Saddam. Iran's influence in the region will increase - There will however, be some limits on the ethnic cleansing of Sunnis - because Sunni nations like Saudi Arabia would pose a threat to the Shiite majority if they tried to kill off all the Sunnis- Eventually these people will get tired of killing each other but it will take awhile. No matter how long the U.S. stays in Iraq, this is going to happen - All we are doing is getting our people killed and postponing the inevitable. As to what we have accomplished - We did bring majority (Shiite) rule to Iraq. - Now we have to live with it.

Who cares? I am more concerned about the troops I support with my tax dollars doing what I pay them to do - protect my family and I. Kinda hard to do when they are bogged down in a lost cause for people who don't give a damn.
If we leave, it will be just like every other third world cesspool in the middle east, and I could care less. It's all Israel's problem, anyway, why we keep fighting their wars is a mystery.

There will just be one less group killing people in Iraq.
Probably make much more of a difference to us than to them.

The country will fall apart; look at Afghanistan. We left and we have to go back and get rid of the Taliban again.
After we leave and the Taliban get back together they will devise even a worse attack than 9/11. It's a fact that they will stop at nothing to get us convert to Islam.

If we leave now, they will fight the civil war for the next 5 years. If we leave sometime in the future, their won't be any Iraqi's there, since we consider all of them terrorists and want to get rid of them. It's ethnic cleansing in process.
