The zipper on my daughter's winter jacket keeps splitting open at the bottom after it is zipped up.
Does anyone know if there is a way to stop this from happening?

The coat is not too small for her. In fact it is one size larger than she normally wears.

The coat is high quality from the Gap. It is a metal zipper.

I would say you got a defective zipper and the only way to fix it is to replace it. Actually, it is not that expensive to have the dry cleaner send it out for replacement. It is certainly less expensive than replacing the jacket.

the only time i've got ever had zippers split aside is whilst the gown became great tight & the zipper became inexpensive. try a popular zipper or possibly a heavy accountability zipper in white/cream (even though coloration the gown is). whilst it is composed of tight dresses & zippers you won't be able to be choosy appropriate to the shape of zipper or the completed gown is going to fall good off the bride.

Buy higher quality products. Cheap zippers are usually not put on nice items.

Avoid the plastic zippers. They have this problem frequently.

Why bother! Zipper splitting is like coming of age. Time to get a newer, shinier, bigger jacket!
