I'm a conservative because I have the need to know the truth and from what I've seen on these boards, 1 in 30 liberals might tell the truth. I've seen way too many liberals post things just because they hate conservatives like that detoth nut and the Nancy double nut.
Sorry, I can find the truth on my own and I don't need some yahoo liberal telling me lies to slow down my process of getting the truth.

I am conservative because the country has been run moderately well excepting the past number of years and the conservative viewpoint in essence believes in strengthening the country with the successful practices, morals, and beliefs used in the forming and progression of our country. Not that the liberal end of the spectrum isn't needed to provide changes to our ever-progressing world, but Without the logical conservative voice, speaking for the good of the country as a whole and reinforcing the aforementioned practices and beliefs of our countries heritage, then the view gets lost to the personal strifes of each varied class of person in this country. Liberal views will fight tooth and nail to get something changed for a class of person they feel deserves more, giving absolutely no creed to the well-being of the stability and country as a whole. Take from the middle class hard working citizen and give to the poor, minority, or illegal with no repurcussions or expectations to put back into the economy? Liberals say yes. I say, could ya please stop. I don't mind paying for the education, hospitalization, and welfare of American citizens down on their luck, in a pinch, but with the goal of eventually gettin off their *** and putting a days worth of taxable income in. Unfortunately what I consider legitimate use of our benevolent government system and our wonderful taxpayers money is being taken advantage of with no end in sight by liberals/democrats looking to spread the wealth to any and all, at our cost. They aspire to make everyone a middle class citizen, by raping the current middle class citizen and spoon feeding the poor and illegal. This country was founded on hard work, sacrifice, and dedication TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. not the United States of Everyone Pitch In and Give to the Poor, They Don't Need to Work Anyway, and not the United States of North America, If You Were Born on This Continent You Get To Take Advantage of Taxpayers in the 50 States. Basically "The government that governs least governs best" SHOULD be the conservative motto (not that Bush is...). Low taxes. Strong National defense. Free and fair trade. Individual freedom. Those are the big ones.

I'm conservative because
i believe one of the scariest things anyone can hear is "I'm from the government and I'm here to help." - Ronald Reagan
I believe the smaller the government the better
I believe in no or low taxes,
I believe in charity and not social programs
I believe in our constitution and not as a fluid document.
I believe in the right to life and not murder/abortion
I believe in a strong military as a deterrent
I believe in the freedom of religion and I don't think religious symbols or prayers in certain places endanger the separation of church and state.

I'm a conservative and here are some of my thoughts:
* Be super tough on crime. One strike, you're locked up for life. Commit a violent crime and you get the death penalty instantly.
* No more of this political correctness BS. We should do racial profiling when it comes to protecting our country from terrorists. People from the middle east, if you don't like it, you don't have to live here.
* Anyone on welfare who continues to have kids loses all their kids - the kids are put up for adoption. Welfare will be paid for a maximum of 6 months for your entire lifetime.
* The only language in this country is English. Schools will not cater to those who don't speak the language. Nor will any other establishment in this country be allowed to print signs, menus, etc in any other language.
* Don't even talk to me about gay marriage - it doesn't and never will exist.

I am pro-life. I do not think ANYONE should have the right to kill ANYONE, no matter how young.
I think Affirmative Action is racist, and is therefore wrong.
I think people in Public schools should not be FORCED to show religious preference, but should be ALLOWED to.
I think that fighting terrorists in the Middle East prevents a terrorist attack on U.S. soil.
I think a sex offender should never leave prison.
I think prisoners should have VERY little rights

I think conservatives, broadly speaking, think more in terms of how will this be done, who will do it, who will pay for it, how will we manage it - while liberals think more in terms of what can I get from the general resource pool. Thus I'm a conservative.

I support tax relief and believe in the right to life (pro-life). I am against amnesty for illegals, against gay marriage and oppose bigger government spending for a national health care program.
