Can you interfere with a recievers hands when trying to intercept a ball? Or do you have to go for the ball alone?

You have the right to go for the ball, but you can't slap their hands down or go through a receiver to get the ball. For instanst, if you jump in front of a receiver and make contact with their hands and pick off the pass that doesn't matter.

The rule is sketchy here but as soon as it hits any player the ball is live and the defender and receiver can do whatever they please. If the player is actually going for the interception incidental contact with the hands of the receiver will be allowed but a player can not pull down on the arm or any other part of the receiver even in an attempt to get the ball.

You have a right to the ball, but you can't interfere with the receivers hand until the ball is in their hands.

Check out the pas interference rules below.

You have to be in persuit of the ball at all times. Even if you trip over the receivers legs, if you are looking at the ball it's incidental contact.

all contact has to be incidental contact after the 5 yard line. yes you can interfere, you just can't look like you're interfering on purpose. Eyes on the ball.
