I have two large pine trees, 6 inches in diameter, and about 20 feet tall. I want to remove them myself, if I can. How do I do it? Is it possible?

It would be best to cut the large branches first. Then cut it down in sections. Use ropes to hold the branches so you can control the fall, and get some help. It sounds like you want someone who has done it before. It is very dangerous to do without proper knowledge. You don't say where the trees are in relation to the house, etc. but the major concern will be... WHERE WILL IT LAND? You MUST know this before it happens. Good luck. : )

Everybody has told you how to cut it down, but once cut down you still need to remove the stump. Go to you local hardware store/nursery and ask for Grant's Stump Remover. By following the directions you can remove the remainder of the tree.
