Two programs.

Notebook Hardware Manager (undervolt it so that it'll run cooler)

SetFSB, download the version for your laptop.

Both are free.

You can overclock a desktop with the BIOS but in a laptop those features are not available, and you'll have to use programs.

Plz Don't Listen to These PPL!!
Overclocking is like PC Heaven!
You don't need a program to overclock your PC just go to your BIOS.. Restart pc and you press delete or w/e button your pc does it with and then go to frequency n voltage control and then it says its Mhz Ghz thing there and overclock away!

NEVER EVER OVER CLOCK INTEL!!!!
To unstable, won't work if you would overclock just 1 notch...

Always Overclock AMD !

overclocking will force it to generate more heat. more heat will burn it out sooner if you don't heat sink it or use the proper fan.

make certain you know what you are doing or you will be buying a new chip soon.
