Hip Hop is certainly not dead, it's been commercialized though.
There is still plenty of good hip hop out there, it’s just now you have to search for it. Try looking for stuff by Little Brother, Mr. Lif, The Perceptionists, Jay Dee (RIP), MF Doom, The Mystic Journeymen it’s all out there you just have to look.
The stuff played on the radio is just club music, it’s out there because it’s “fun.” While you and I may not agree, I just choose to look at it the same way I view a Britney Spears or Backstreet Boys album; while they may sell a lot of records and get people dancing it’s not real meaningful music and the individuals responsible won’t be remembered as true artists in the long run anyway.

One of the most important aspects of singing well involves correct breathing. Now you would think that we would already do this correctly. Try a site like https://tr.im/LhO8P which has the best vocal exercises
After all if we couldn't breathe we wouldn't be alive! But in reality many people have bad breathing habits caused by a variety of things including poor posture and our often frantic lifestyles. Learning how to control your breathing is one of the keys to improving your voice.
Singing requires that you are able to take in enough air quickly before you are about to sing a line and then let this air out in a regular and controlled way whilst singing the notes. The mistake many novice singers do is to take a quick shallow gasp of air into the top of the lungs. This results in there being insufficient air, to get you through the line you are singing, and you will end up dropping notes. I'm sure you can relate to this experience and can remember times when you have had to quickly take in more air half way through the line or note you are singing.

Hip hop isn't what it used to be. You can't compare the latest Mike Jones CD with Midnight Marauders or Black on Both Sides. There's a lot of good production out there, but sampling isn't as creative as it used to be, and lyrics aren't as intelligent or socially conscious. "Dirty South" didn't help make hip hop any smarter.

Yeah, hip hop has taken a turn for the worst, hasn't it?
No wonder Nas officially declared hip hop "dead". I'll be damned if I'm gonna do the hyphy, the pop lock and drop,or the worst of all, the Heizman. UGH!!

I don't think hip-hop is anywhere near what it used to be, and I'm only 15. These days it's just too mainstream, commercial, and materialistic. But there's still good hip-hop being made, you just usually have look underground for it. Hip-hop is not dead yet.

I'm the same way, too many rappers are making it big with garbage like "pop lock and drop it" or "chicken noodle soup", because people actually buy the crap. Not enough hip hop artists like Nas, are in the spotlight anymore.

Nope mostly all new rap sucks.
