Hey guys. . . ok i still can't decide what i want to major in college BUT what I do know is that I want to be able to spend time with my kids (i don't have kids but I'm thinking ahead of the game) i want a job where i can take time off and come back to it. What kind of job is it besides being a cop or a nurse?

Teaching gives you a lot of flexibility--particularly at the college level. It's not an easy ride--it's a full time job and then some--but nobody cares whether papers are graded at 9 in the morning or 9 at night, so this sometimes makes it possible for you to be at your kids' baseball games, etc. Of course you do have classes and meetings that have non-negotiable times, but a lot of the other work you can do whenever you want.

why don't you think about a job you can do from home, or mostly from hiome? something like a writer, columnist, graphic designer,ect. that would give you the flexability to set your own hours, so to speak.
