Without knowing how tall you are it's hard to say if you started out a bit overweight. If so, then your body has been burning up energy from stored fat cells and could be why you haven't gained much. The next 20 weeks you should be gaining about 15-20lbs until the baby comes, but your Dr. should certainly be letting you know if your lack of weight gain is ok!

that is fine as long as you are eating healthy and your doctor says everything is fine with baby... most woman start gaining weight more rapidly during the last trimester, 143 isnt over weight or underweight so i think you should be fine, some people only gain like 15 pounds while others gain like 40. good luck!

Well I'm 15 weeks pregnant, before i got pregnant i was 189 pound and I'm now 165. my doctor told me is OK as long as I'm getting my nutrient!! for example, instead of eating fattening food with no nutritional gain i eat foods that are not fattening but that have lots of nutrients. i drink 2% milk, i eat lots of salad, with fresh baby spinach, healthy home made soups, lentils, beans grilled meats, fruit salads etc.. you shouldd be fine if your eating healthy! your probably gonna start gaining weight soon since your in you second trimester, the baby shoul start getting big!! oh yea don't forget to drink you prenatal vitamins!! goad luck and congrats!!!

i don't think you have anything to worry about. as long as the dr. says everything is fine, then i would assume it is. just eat healthy, take your vitamins, and get lots of rest. you'll start gaining weight quicker than you know it.
