The Bush Administration has significantly out spent the previous Clinton administration on VA funding. Remember Clinton once said as he weaseled out of his ROTC commitment that he "detested the military" and as former military myself the feeling was mutual.

Continuing to honor the nation’s commitment to meet the needs of America’s veterans, Secretary of Veterans Affairs Jim Nicholson announced on Feb. 5 that President Bush will seek a landmark budget of nearly $87 billion in fiscal year 2008 for the Department of Veterans Affairs, with health care and disability compensation for veterans receiving the majority of the spending.

READ THIS NEXT PART CLOSELY!!!!!

The budget proposal represents an increase of $37.8 billion, or 77 percent, from the budget in effect when the President took office.

The proposal calls for $42 billion in discretionary funding – mostly for health care – which is the largest amount ever requested by a president. It also would provide $45 billion in mandatory funding, mostly for compensation, pension, educational assistance, home loan guaranties and other benefit programs

What the hell are yo talking about, do you even know? I'm a Vet and I haven't had a single thing cut, in fact, I've gotten even more than I was getting. You're just another one of those lying liberals jealous that we were in the military and now we get cheap or free medical. If you weren't such a coward, you could have had it too but you choose welfare instead.

the bush administration needs to do something to help out veterans or else we are going to have tons of timothy McVeigh's running around blowing up federal buildings for not helping out fellow veterans (also the movie the rock)

Bush has certainly not been very active in helping veterans. It is a disgrace. But the Bush administration has come to embody disgrace and dishonor.
