I most definitley think that it should be legal, but I do understand where the man is coming from due to the fact that people get hurt skateboarding on business properties and then sue the business or deface property due to grinding rails and ledges. I just wish skaters could know boundaries of what they can and cant do and I wish police and the government would give skaters a little more freedom to do soemthing they love.

Very, err, controversial. My husbands been skating since he was 10. I think that you should be able to skate freely, however I can understand why some people/companies get upset when people are skating on their property. Asthetically, it leaves mark on concrete, etc. And there is also a liablity if someone were to get hurt. For instance, if a 12 year old where skating at the public library structure and fell and broke his arm or cracked his head open, there are parents who would actully sue the Library as well as the city government. I see both sides.

o yea

of course

I skate and although some other skaters can be *****, not all of us are like that.

these skaters give us a bad name, and we get stuck suffering the consequences. Its like in gym class when one kid thinks its funny to pull a prank, and the gym teacher makes you all do pushups for the rest of the hour.

Lemme ask you this kind of question

What if someone illegalized soccer, or painting, football, dance.

To some people these are just Ho-Hum topics, but for some people, these are their passion.

Skateboarding is my passion, its my life. If it were to be illegalized, i would have to be a criminal. Because i would never be able to stop.
