Each player is dealt seven cards. On a turn each player draws one card from the pile and then discards one. You can either draw from the pile or the top card of the discard pile. The goal is to get three of a kind of one card and four of a kind of another (such as four queens and three eights.) What is it called?

Basically Rummy, there are lots of versions. Be sure to ask for the rules before playing, it seems everyone has their own way of playing Rummy.
