Hi:

First off: Start with what type of story are you going to write - Is it going to be a :

Sci-fi?
Spy thiller?
Action?
Murder mystery or detective?
Children Story?
Romance?
Western?
Non fiction?
Fiction?
What ever?

Than introduce the characters and there relationship to one another along with a description and there backgrounds. So your readers will get to know them. Remember the Newspaper man's five W's & H ( Who,What,When Where, Why & How) they apply to any story. So use them.

Have a plot and a some twist and turns in the story along with a few misdirections and put in all the steps to connect them together to get them to the climax and conclusion. Then you have your story

Read a lot good books to get a feel for how to write one . Oh by the way learn to use proper Spelling , grammar , punctuation and right usage of the English language. You need to work on that ( So proof read your work and don't be afraid to waste some paper- a lot of great writers did that in writing their books. You will be no different or Use a good word processor ) but I think you have the right stuff to be a great writer here. Be patience; It can't be done over night. So keep working on it and improving as you go along. Check with others to see if it is good or not. Than find a good publisher to see if your book is good enough to print or not. If it is then make your fortune and write the next sequal to it and hopley be world renound ( forgive my spelling here )

Good luck and my best wishes to you.

Hey yucare, I think that one's already taken lol.
What is the story for? If you aren't trying to publish it, take one of the characters from your favorite novel and write a little history about them, something they might have done before or after the story you read. I've done that a few times for creative writing classes. You can do the same thing with a character from a movie or tv show. That way, you already know a little about the character and have a ready made world to work with.

the story line goes something like this: a man narrating the story tells about his father who had died - (maybe the father was a pirate, or something else), and had hidden a treasure. No one knows where, but he left clues for his son to find where the treasure map is located.
As it turns out, the map was tattooed on his head (the son's head) when he was a baby and all this time the son never knew it. So he shaves his head and uses a mirrior to find the treasure.
