for my skin type, I have combination skin and am somewhat fair skinned...I do not like matte finish. I like Oil free and like to be slightly dewy but not oily. The type I use is discontinued and I have tried a few new ones and they make me look funny (-: I will appreciate any suggestions from any price range, thanks!

Hey i have a passion 4 makeup so i kinda do my research on wuts gud out there. i have combination skin as well n its hard. I use clarins line from macys they are known 4 skin care, so there makeup has benefits. They have oil free base foundation. The colors are skin tone match. Dont sweat off thru da day. did u know since we have oily combination skin dat thru out da day our makeup tends 2 melt and gets darker by da shade by da end of da day and wit clarins , it stays tru 2 ur color. It ranges at 24. Also u could go 2 a local department store and try physcian brand try minerals because they wont clog ur pores 2 prevent oil. And dont have ingre. 2 harm and age ur skin like TALC. GOOD LUCK i hope my answers help even if a little.

I go to Sally beauty supply and use a brand made of Rice Powder. It is a wet/dry foundation and I have found that it has the best coverage with out feeling like I am wearing tons of makeup. It will double as your foundation and face powder. Remember that the key to make up is a good set of brushes and proper application. Good luck.

Mary Kay--a little more expensive than store bought, but they specifically match your tone and your skin texture PLUS the part I like best about it as that it doesn't feel like you are wearing makeup or a mask....I have majorly oily skin and I don't normally wear make up for that reason, but a Mary Kay dealer helped me get the right stuff that I put on to protect my skin and keep it from getting so oily in the first place...

Neutragena all the way. If I were you I would skip the liquid foundation though and stick with some bare minerals. Also Neutragena puts out a bare mineral type powder for about 10-15 dollars. I can sleep in it, I LOVE IT.

There are a few things you should be doing:
Make sure that the products you are using on your skin are pH correct, which is so important to your skin. Our skin is natural pH is about a 7.0 on the pH scale from 1-14. Most bar soaps or anti-bacterial soaps have a higher pH, which helps them to foam and gives you that squeaky clean feeling. People with oily skin especially like this feeling as it dries up and removes a lot of the oil . The problem is, by removing so much of the oil from the surface of the skin, the oil glands get a message to produce more oil and it becomes a viscous cycle of over drying the skin with high pH cleansers and the skin trying to defend itself by producing too much oil. In people with dry skin which does not produce enough oil of its own, using a high pH cleanser such as soap only further drie out the skin. The oil on the skin is there to protect the skin from the environment and helps to combat aging. By using a pH correct product such as Arbonne, you will not sending your skin to extremes but instead are keep it well balanced helping your oil production in the long run...

Arbonne makes a product called " Arbonne INtelligence Personalizer"- this is a powder that is applied to absorbs the oil before moisturizing or applying make-up. It not only absorbs the oil, but is has a gree tint to it, thus it ensures that your foundation stays true to it's color... It costs $33.25 CAD

The skin care line that I would recommend would be the : " Intelligence not so basic skin care" if you are under 35.

both can be purchased here:http://tryitandloveit.myarbonne.com

Three key elements to help your skin look its best:

·Avoid the damaging sun: with 90% of aging caused by environmental damage and sun exposure, ensure that you wear a product that contains a broad spectrum sun block , and use it every day. Harmful sun rays penetrate clouds…so sun block is needed on cloudy days as well. Arbonne uses the latest in sunscreen technology in their day creams to ensure that you are protected from both the UVB and UVA rays.
·Practice good skin care: Using skin care products incorrectly can cause problems later in life. Learn how to remove make-up, and apply sun screen to let skin breath. Follow up with exfoliation to encourage skin cell turnover, and finish with a light moisturizer to protect the skin’s water barrier.
·Don’t mix brands: With hundreds of skin care products launched each year, it’s no wonder that many of us try the latest products…however that can lead to skin irritation and the development of sensitive skin. Skin care products need time to work, and as your body becomes accustomed to the formulas …you will see benefit. Each brand develops products to work together for best results. Pick a brand and stick with it.

Eating right to keep your skin soft, glowing and strong at any age:

·Orange/red fruits and vegetables: can include tomatoes, squash and carrots- these are packed with beta-carotene, which is an antioxidant that is essential for healthy skin, scalp and mucous membranes.
·Shellfish and fish: try salmon, crab, shrimp and lobster- contain astaxanthin, an extremely potent antioxidant that protects your skin from the damaging environment, helps prevent age spots and wrinkling.
·Nuts and seeds- these are rich in vitamin E which helps protect the skin from sun damage
·Citrus fruits- such as oranges, grapefruits, are high in Vitamin C. It is essential to collagen production, and it is the collagen that gives connective tissue strength and resilience.
·Unrefined whole grain- these could be wheat, barley , oats and rye- all contain silica, a mineral that helps to repair damaged skin , hair and nails. Silica helps to strengthen collagen and elastin.

Clinique is good. Use a shade that is slightly darker than your skin.

I think the true match foundation is the best! It not only matches your skin tone but it also matches the texture of your face. It rocks!

Lancome or M.A.C. ... kinda pricey (probably around like $20) but it's definitely worth it!
