I got my period on Feb 5 and ended on the 8th. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant, but because I have never had a regular period and was on Depo Provera for 5 years, we are scared that we wont know if we can get pregnant. My period is due on Monday, I took some urine pregnancy test but they are reading negative. If I don't get my period on time is there a possibilty that I can be pregnant? Also how do I find out if I am not able to concieve?

i am kind of in the same boat as u. i was on depo for 5 years and i went off about a year ago. i too have never had regular cycles. but i am trying this for the time being. i have been tracking my ovulation on babycenter.com. they have this ovulation calender. u type in ur first day of ur menstrual cycle and they calculate when u r most fertile and even when ur expected due date. i know how frustrating it is and just remeber that they tell u to wait a year before getting worried. good luck

It's possible to get a false neg if hcg is not built up in your system yet....If you are concerned about not being able to conceive you would have to go to a fertility specialist and have tests done on you and your hubby.....I know I have heard people say that it took a while to conceive after the depo shot..but everyone is different...If you dont get your period on time take another test or have a blood test done....Good Luck!

Discuss these concerns with your doctor....But if it helps, I had a very hard time conceiving after coming off the depo shot. Boy, does that form of birth control work!(LOL)
