I'm in college and at times I find it hard to keep focus on the pbig picture for myself. A "so called friend of mine" and I were suppose to go job hunting together but she never took me but she got a job now. I'm trying to see it as maybe she could help me get that job also. but I see it also that if I do the same job as her and do it better, she will grow resentful. In any case, I'm upset. Now this wouldn't be jealousy because I don't compete with anybody for anything because good things will come to me. But if everyone around you isn't helping you, then you would have to help yourself out. But also let's say that those that did not help you find out about your new found success. You're doing better then all of them combine and they ask you for help just as you asked for them and they didn't give it to you. What do you do then?

Just hammer away at things and fields which interest you and don't worry about other people's feelings. Yes, it's a bit selfish, but it's even more selfish if you don't get out there and expand upon what you're good at since you won't be able to help more people later. Don't be afraid to be yourself and don't be afraid to make a fool of yourself. If you never get out there in the first place, you won't make difference anyway.

Although I know what you are talking about, you sound a bit confused.
First, get back on track for you. You are wasting time and energy thinking about this and that and why and why not. You are over analizing the big picture.
Get out there and put everything you have towards doing what you want to do.
Practice Yoga or some sort of meditation if you have trouble keeping on track for you. Stop thinking about what they are thinking because they are busy going after what they want. Actually they probably aren't thinking about you.
