1. Materials you will need:
Hand sewing needle
Thread to match the button or the fabric
Scissors
Straight pin, another needle or a tooth pick to use as a spacer which will provide the lift for the button hole fabric under the button
The button
2. Thread and knot your needle. Place the needle into the fabric so that the knot will end up on the back of the fabric (out of sight).
3. Make a couple of stitches in the fabric where the button is to be located to anchor the thread. Lay the button on the place you will be attaching it.
4 .Bring the needle up through the button. Lay the straight pin, needle or toothpick on top of the button. Take the thread over top of the straight pin, needle or toothpick and bring your needle and thread back down through the button.
5. Repeat step 4 to make about six stitches over the straight pin, needle or tooth picks to anchor your button.
6. For a button with four holes, repeat the above steps for the other two holes.
7. Bring the needle and thread to the back of the fabric and knot the thread in the threads that have sewn the button to the garment. Cut the thread.
8. Remove the straight pin, needle or tooth pick and snug the button to the loops of thread by tugging the button.
Tips:
Choose the spacer (straight pin, needle or tooth pick) according to how thick the fabric with the buttonhole is. You would need a larger spacer for a heavy wool coat than you would for a thin cotton blouse.
Resist the urge to over sew the button. Too many threads will not give you professional results.
If you lost the original button, try "stealing" a button from the shirt tail area and replace that button with a close match.

Get a needle and thread. Cut the thread to a good size. Put the thread thru the needle eye. Put the two ends of the thread together and tie in a knot. Place the button where it needs to go. Then thread the needle in and out of the little holes on the button making sure you are threading thru the shirt too. When the button's all secure make your last thread thru bot button and shirt not pulling all the way, leaving a small loop, put your needle thru there, then pull. This will create a knot which will hold the treading you did.

Find the correct color of thread, first. Get a needle that will, easily go through the button holes on your shirt. Find a button that is the same size as the other buttons, and the same color, same pattern. Lie the button down on the FLAT side, and hold it securely with your fingers, on the front of your shirt Begin to sew from the back of the material, taking your threaded needle, and make two tiny stitiches in the material, right under where you want the button to wind up. Now, from the backside, come up through one hole in the button. Go, now, down through another hole in the button down from the front, and into the back of the button. Do this, again and again.......until the button feels as if it will stay right where you want it. Then, take another stitch on the back of the button, to secure it well.

No dude that is what your destiny spouse is for! merely tell her it takes 2 to make a relationship artwork. I advise come on, you're male. in case your paying for her the garments, she will be in a position to stitch on the buttons (i definately recomend you purchase her something at this element, no longer something incorrect w/ kissing up). besides, in case you need to do each little thing your self you does no longer be spending something else of your existence mutually with her ;o) To each and each of the ladies those who opt for equivalent rights - you have to be lesbians. i do not see a women people's shifting company obtainable, we are diverse. i understand a thanks to regulate a tire yet hell i quite stitch on a button anyday.
