1) Wilt Chamberlain
I don't care who he played against he was an absolute beast. He put up sick numbers in almost every catagory even assists.
2) Bill Russell
He was a great all around player. He was really unselfish too.
3) Kareem Abdul-Jabaar
Hard to believe he is the 3rd best center of all time! He could have been better on defense though so that's why he's third.
4) Shaquille O'Neal
We really are watching a legend at the end of his career right now. I remember how dominating he was. People often forget how good his passing and defense was. No one ever got other players into worse foul trouble. Just those free throws...
5) Bill Walton
This guy has a complete beast on the boards, he could pass like a point guard and obviously he could put up points. Too bad his career was cut a little short by the knee injury but he is still quite deserving.
Look out for Greg Oden! He is the next Bill Russell!

1) Kareem Abdul Jabbar-Amazing player, had great skill.
2) Wilt Chamberlain- Most points all time in a game. No body has really come close.
3) Bill Russell- Won a lot of championships. A LOT!
4) Hakeem Olajuwon- Great Center, not as good as above, but had great paint presence.
5) David Robinson- The Admiral is amazing. He had a lot of heart and skills to boot.
Others) Shaq- Not as great as he seems. I like him and he has heart, but he cant shoot.
Mutumbo-Good in his prime, one of the best 6th man centers ever.
Alonzo Mourning-Probably my #6. He was so good for start to finish without a lapse. Great overall player.

Russell, Chamberlain, Jabbar, Olajuwon and David Robinson. I dont think you will get any diasagreement on the first 3 of your list, not much on the 4th, and I just think Robinson was a better all around player than Shaq

i could placed Emeka variety 4 and tyson variety 3 basically for the undeniable fact that the reason he has averaged a double double a majority of those years is using the fact he's the only participant on the gang that could rebound. Chandler has west who avg approximately 9 rbs a interest and he stil averages exceedingly much 12 rbs. I additionally evaluate him a greater advantageous defender because of the fact in case you observed the sequence between NO and SA, he slowed down Duncans playoff prowess and made him user-friendly approximately sixteen 17 factors a interest mutually as in hte different playoff sequence he averaged atleast 20 factors a interest. I trust you that okafor is underrated because of the dominance and comparisons people have made with howard. i could additionally placed bogut in rivalry for that 5 spot with the advance we observed this previous year avg. almsot 10 boards with approximately 14-15 factors

the way i feel is....i agree with your list 100%...right down to the order and the reasons for it...only exception however...shaq infront of hakeem the dream....the level of competition is so much better now...and for Shaq to still dominate and change the entire flow of the game is incredible.... even when he is on the bench he is making a difference... how?... the opposing team has to worry about giving fouls to him later in the game
dont get me wrong..hakeem dominated just as much....but Shaq's foot work and body control is so much better...as well as his FG%... only thing... free-throws...that's all i have to say

I like your list. I might move Jabbar above Russell and I would need to find a place to put David Robinson on that list (not sure who I would bump down).

I like your thinking except for Shaq. He is either dominant because the media says so or how much he weighs!
