the merely time I do that is even as question #a million easily IS the most suitable answer. i do not realize why people imagine they opt for to be first, because i have voted many later solutions as most suitable. I have a tendency to scroll via all of them, fairly if there are 2-15 solutions or so.. If I see better than 50, easily, I merely bypass over, although.. this isn't any longer honest for me to %. one, and that i visit't study all those solutions. also if that is a question that I easily do no longer understand of the answer, I bypass it besides.

I think it automatically goes for a vote if no best answer is chosen. I am new to this and didn't know that I was even suppose to select a "best answer" until I got the email from Yahoo saying since I didn't, voters did! I now spend alot of time doing the voting so that people earn the points they are entitled to.

Just go back and vote for your own answer.
You will get the 10 points.
I think it's really rude to ask a question, and then let it go to in-voting.
After all, we've spent time answering their question, so the least they could do is give an indication that they've actually bothered to read the answers, whether it's 1 or 1000.

That's the "I was bored and asked the question, but I didn't have the attention span to check back for an answer" factor on YAnswers. Seen it many a time. So many people here trump up questions just to have something to pass the time at work.
It's kind of a pity the site can't be cleaned of this debris with just a click.

I didn't know you could put it up for vote. I thought it only went up to vote if the Asker never chose a best answer before time ran out to choose one.

Because the people asking the questions may not be quite sure about who's right. Since there's probably multiple answers, any of them could be right, and that confuses them, so they have people vote for what they would think is the right answer.
That's my guess.
Oh wait. There's only one to choose from? If so, never mind.

Some people never pick a best answer. Poor manners if you ask me, it's like not acknowledging the answerers.
