Hi I was wanting to know if anyone can help me? My desk top as a thin Black border around it. A few of my icons are cut off on the left hand side and my task bar at the bottom is cut in half. I know there is a way to fix this, but I can't remember how. Thanks

There's a few things you can try

Adjusting your display settings...To adjust your resolution settings follow the steps below:
Click Start
Highlight Settings
Highlight Control Panel
Click Display
Click the Setting Tab
Adjust the Screen Area to 640 by 480*
Click Ok

Or...

Click on the "Start" Button and select "Control Panel"
Click on "Performance and maintenance"
Click on "System"
Click the "Hardware" tab at the top
Click the "Device Manager" button
Click the + next to "Monitors"
Double-click the adapter description
Click the "Driver" tab
Compare the version number of your drivers with the latest version of the drivers available on your monitor manufacturer's website.*

Or...

you can check to see if you have the updated video drivers for your desktop

Click on the Start button and select Run. (For Vista Users, press the Windows Key (the key with the Windows logo on your keyboard) + R (at the same time) and skip to step 3)

Type in dxdiag and click OK.
After the DirectX Diagnostic Tool loads click on the Display tab.
Your video card Name and Manufacturer will be listed in the Device section.
The version of the driver you have installed should be listed under the Driver box next to the word Version.
Visit our Manufacturer Links page to visit the manufacturer page and obtain updated drivers for your specific video card.

Or you can adjust the horizontal and veritcal settings on the monitor itself until the border goes away

hopefully one of those tips will help!

Adjust the monitor settings. There's a button on the monitor that will display a menu with several ways to center and resize the image on the screen.

Play with these settings until the picture fits the screen.

I think you should try changing your screen position on your monitor...there should be some buttons on the monitor that will popup a menu when you press them...try it out.
