The local council obviously made a mistake in the spelling.

Incidentally, Sheil Road is named after Alderman Richard Sheil, at the time the only Catholic Irishman on the Town Council.

It must be two diffrent roads that meat in the middle, go along and check the housenumbers just to make sure. If it is one road contact the council and get them to sack whoever made the bad sign. That may take a while as they will have to have meetings on which sign is bad and which name to use in the future.
And they will then probably want to study as many road maps etc as possible to see which one is used the most then they can pick the other one just for the economic benefits.

How did you manage to notice that; Which one is the correct spelling. Telephone either Radio City,Magic 1548 or Radio Merseyside and they will discuss it and unravel the mystery. You could also ring Liverpool Council and alert them and they would investigate the problem. Also you could do what i would do and that is nothing and let someone else worry about it. Which end does West Derby Road spell.

P.S Can i Have the 10 points please

It can only be a mistake. I went to Boaler Street School in the sixties and it was one road then.
