Why do we choose to live based on rules setup by our society instead of rules we have ourselves? I mean why do we fear to step outside our boundries? Why do we setup our entire lives based on lies just to withstand the truth? I mean that's what trends and so forth are so why do we do it?

I don't agree that we base our entire lives on lies. People live by their morals. If you have any integrity, your conscience would be your guide through life. You don't overstep boundries, because you do not want to offend your neighbour. It's as simple as that. Imagine having an obnoxious rowdy neighbour who does not take you into consideration? How long would you tolerate this situation for the sake of peace and harmony.

It is a matter of live and let live.

Its easier for someone to accept something if it makes them feel accepted or good about themselves. Everyone wants to be liked and accepted. In todays society, people are being constantly bombarded with information thats conflicting with what they naturally feel inside. To clarify, many people have an inner instinct that says to them this is bad, or this is a good thing. But today, in a very subtle manner, we are being slowly brainwashed into thinking that those feelings are wrong. When we know inside something is wrong, we are being programmed that, no that is a good thing that we are somehow a bigot or a racists, or intollerant. When we know something is good deep down inside us, the same thing is happening but in reverse. We are told that no that is bad, that we are again intollerant, ignorant, selfish, a religious zealot etc. So its gotten to the point that far too many people today think that what is good is bad and what is bad is good. People have to get past the need to feel accepted by anyone other than themselves. You need to not give a darn about what other people think or say, you do what you know is right, and the heck with all the rest. You only ever have to impress yourself (and your mom if she is still with ya).

I do not know if those are all lies, but people tend to do this because they can function easily in the known that in the unknown.
